Daniel S. Chavez was born and raised in McKinney, Texas. He attended the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity. He is the proud father of two children, Blakely and Nico.
Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from the historic Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas, graduating cum laude. During law school, he was an active member of the Board of Advocates, Honor Court, and the Hispanic Law Student Association. He competed in and earned multiple awards in advocacy competitions, including Alternative Dispute Resolution, Mock Trial, and Client Counseling. In his final year, he was selected to serve as Chief Justice of the Board of Advocates.
Daniel’s practice focuses primarily on Criminal Defense, while also representing clients in a wide range of Family Law matters. He regularly appears in courts throughout Collin and Dallas Counties and handles cases in surrounding counties, including Tarrant, Denton, Rockwall, Kaufman, and Grayson. He is committed to providing practical guidance, strong advocacy, and personalized attention to every client he represents.
He is a member of the Dallas and Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Associations, the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas. Outside of his practice, Daniel is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and is actively involved in organizations dedicated to supporting veterans in the Collin County community.
